COVID 19 UPDATE: NC, SC, AND GA

SOUTH CAROLINA UPDATE: — The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) today announced 770 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and 6 additional deaths. This brings the total number of people confirmed to have COVID-19 in South Carolina to 17,955 and those who have died to 599.
Four deaths occurred in elderly individuals from Cherokee (1), Darlington (1), Greenville (1), and Richland (1) counties, and two deaths occurred in middle-aged individuals from Greenville (1) and Horry (1) counties.

IN NORTH CAROLINA: North Carolina reports 42,676 COVID-19 cases, 1,104 deaths as hospitalizations hit new record high of 823. Numbers by county available on NC Website.
IN GEORGIA: 56,801 Cases reported to date. Deaths 2446, Hospitalizations 9224. ICU admission 2029. Numbers by county available on GA Website.
Steps we can take to protect ourselves and others include:
- Practicing social distancing
- Wearing a mask in public
- Avoiding group gatherings
- Regularly washing your hands
- Staying home if sick
Covid19 Virus is still out there. Do not let your guard down. Keep yourself as safe as possible by practicing good habits and maintaining safe distances when you can.
