Committees are a simple way to volunteer your time, help shape the industry and get to know other members.

This committee is responsible monitoring, reviewing and communicating annual regulatory compliance requirements for the industry. The committee plans and implements the CRMCA Environmental Forums each year in North and South Carolina as well as the Environmental Excellence and Environmental Improvement Awards. In addition, the committee participates in annual meetings with members of the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources (NCDENR) as well as members of the South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control (SCDHEC).
Fleet and Plant Maintenance Committee
The Fleet and Plant Maintenance Committee meets regularly to discuss bench-marking and compliance measures as well as industry changes and updates. They invite speakers to their meetings to present a topic of interest which have included: new specifications for diesel engines, new lubricants on the market, aggregate bin design, conveyor belts, air dryers, compressor components, and alternative fuels. The committee works closely with the planning, recruiting and implementation of the Annual CRMCA Mixer Driver Championship held in the Spring.
NC Legislative Committee
The NC Legislative Committee meets every other month and regularly monitors issues involving the industry as well as elections. The group is responsible for developing and promoting the NC Legislative Agenda each year and works closely with the CRMCA NC Lobbyist. Members of this committee represent CRMCA at various political events and fundraisers throughout the year. Members assist in raising funds for the CRMCA NC PAC through member outreach and special events.
Safety and Human Resources Committee
The Safety and Human Resources Committee meets regularly to review and discuss issues affecting the industry in the areas of Safety and Human Resources. The group plans and implements Safety Forums and Seminars throughout the year in an effort to educate members and help raise the bar on professionalism and safety within the concrete industry. The group works with local partnerships in an effort to promote the benefits of choosing a career in the world of ready mixed concrete. The committee produces an annual Wage & Benefit survey for bench-marking purposes. Additionally, the committee sponsors the annual Mixer Driver Lifetime Achievement Award, the annual Driver of the Year Award and the annual Plant Safety Awards.
SC Legislative Committee
The SC Legislative Committee meets every other month and regularly monitors issues involving the industry as well as elections.. The group is responsible for developing and promoting the SC Legislative Agenda each year and works closely with the CRMCA SC Lobbyist. Members of this committee represent CRMCA at various political events and fundraisers throughout the year. Members assist in raising funds for the CRMCA SC PAC through member outreach and special events.
The Technical Committee communicates technical issues, changes and updates with members on a regular basis. The committee also develops various educational programs for presentations to CRMCA Members, Engineers, Architects and other specifiers. The group meets two times per year with both NCDOT and SCDOT to discuss technical issues and needs for the industry.
Promotion & Membership Committee
The Promotion & Membership Committee focuses on the promotion efforts, membership recruitment & retention and education offerings of the CRMCA. The committee reviews outreach initiatives, overall concrete applications and works specifically with the specifier community. The group meets two times per year in person and two times per year via conference call.
