Product Promotion

Through industry advocacy, education, and technical services, with a focus on safety and environmental sustainability, our primary goal for product promotion is to relay the advantages of concrete as the preferred building material of choice. We want to ensure we have a unified message for specifiers, project stakeholders, and industry professionals.

We are focused on concrete as a product – not one specific construction system

All members have access to the Concrete Design Center which is a free, confidential design assistance tool that will generate a report using quantifiable, empirical data. This resource provides you with evidence that concrete construction is a cost-effective and sustainable choice for your project.

Empower your employees to stand out in the industry with tools such as webinars, technical training, safety notes, educational seminars, and lunch and learns all available through the CRMCA Trainer Toolbox.  CRMCA provides your employees the resources they need to educate themselves and their customers and become a knowledgeable and trusted industry resource.

Involvement in the CRMCA Promotion and Membership committee opens opportunities for members to participate in industry-specific conferences, seminars, and guest speaking engagements. These opportunities foster a unified message of telling the story of the benefits to building with concrete.

Education & Training

CRMCA believes that education is the foundation for empowerment.  Through webinars, technical training and certifications, educational seminars, lunch and learns, and promotional events, CRMCA provides the events and information needed for you to continue and advance your career.

CRMCA allows members to broaden their scope through technical training and certification programs throughout the year. As a CRMCA member, you will receive a discounted rate for all
of our hosted courses.

One element of our training is geared towards Specifiers and Department of Transportation Employees.  Through our program we can offer firms education via a platform that is fits best for their company which can include in-office lunch and learns, webinars, or hands-on technical training events on site.  All courses offer AIA, HSW, and CEU credits.

Through the collaboration with multi-state ready mixed concrete state associations, the Concrete Careers Academy offers online, attendee paced, education and training to further develop current workers and assist in training the new workforce.  The online platform includes prep classes for ACI Field Level 1, ACI Flatwork Finisher and access to all Concrete In Practice Trainings.  Additional sessions and trainings are added regularly and discount pricing is available to all CRMCA members.

Events & Networking

Our Connect and Engage with CRMCA Events (CEC’s) offer a variety of events and pop up meetings throughout the year in each of our local markets. We utilize this time to share safety updates, discuss local industry issues, and even have a little fun with events like food trucks, axe throwing, or golf! We encourage members to attend these events not only connect with one another but to help shape the future work of CRMCA.

Each year we take time to celebrate our members and reflect on how CRMCA has positively impacted the industry through our Conventions & Workshops. A few ways we do this is through our Annual Summer Convention and Fall Workshop.  Both events bring industry professionals together for dynamic education on key issues, leadership development, and team collaboration. During the events, attendees have opportunities to make industry connections with one another and build lasting relationships.

Appreciation and Recognition Events are so very important to CRMCA and our membership base.  Our annual Mixer Driver Rodeo brings together the best of the best in the ready mix industry
for a driver skills competition. In addition to the event, we dedicate and entire month to recognizing all of our Concrete Delivery Professionals through our Appreciation Program.  CRMCA members have access to all the resources to make these events successful at their local plants.

Advocacy

CRMCA is the voice of ready mix concrete in the Carolinas. Our staff and team of lobbyist work diligently to advocate and lobby on behalf of our members with a focus on business-friendly policy that ensures our members business interests are well-represented and protected. Our legislative and regulatory efforts are reported to members regularly through our CRMCA Blog and legislative committee updates.  Members are encouraged to join the Legislative Committees, participate in Call to Action requests, and support our state political action committees.

CRMCA has two separate Political Action Committees (PAC) representing both NC and SC.  These PACs are bipartisan, multi-candidate, state committees organized with the specific goal of raising funds to support the election and service of pro-business, pro-industry candidates for all areas of state government.  PAC support is an investment in the future of your business and the industry as a whole. It is essential that we support candidates that understand and will fight for the issues important to us when they are in office. There is strength in numbers and the CRMCA PACs allow us to pool our resources and positively influence public policy.
