Updated budget number from the BEA

For context, here’s a reminder of what Legislators had to appropriate last year:

FY23-24 – One time:

GF Surplus – $3,300,000,000 – after backing out $1.3B in CASH for Scout Motors, it’s a net $2,000,000,000

CRF – $210,000,000

Total One-time (net of Scout): $2,100,000,000

FY23-24 – Recurring (net new money):

$1,300,000,000

What we know NOW about NEXT YEAR (FY25)

 FY24-25 – One time:

GF Surplus – $82,000,000

CRF – $400,000,000

Total One-time: $482,000,000

FY24-25– Recurring (net new money):

$450,000,000 (+/-)

2024 Event

The SC Design Construction Partnership Legislative Reception which we have been invited to be a part of this year will take place on January 10, 2024, from 5-7:30 PM this year at the Palmetto Club.  Like minded associations will have legislative officials, DOT leadership and others in attendance.  Groups including the engineers, AGC’s, aggregate and others will be included in the event.  Please mark your calendars and plan to be in attendance in Columbia that day.
