As we reflect on a remarkable year, we are proud to recognize and celebrate the service, leadership, and generosity of our 2025 President, John Bryson. His term was defined by authenticity, resilience, and a deep commitment to advancing both people and the ready mixed concrete industry.
A Champion for Emerging Leaders
From the outset of his presidency, John took a personal and genuine interest in the success of our Emerging Leaders Program. He didn’t simply lend his name to the initiative, he showed up. John attended Emerging Leaders events, served on leadership panels, and invested time in meaningful conversations with participants. His presence helped create a welcoming environment and sent a clear message: the future of our industry matters, and the next generation belongs here.
John’s encouragement and visibility played a pivotal role in building momentum for the program, which is now entering its third year and continues to grow in both participation and impact.
Steady Leadership and Support
Throughout his two-year term, John remained closely engaged with association staff and the Board, offering regular communication, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering support of organizational goals. His collaborative leadership style fostered trust, alignment, and meaningful progress.
Leading Through Adversity
During his presidency, John faced the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene, which caused severe damage to his company’s main location and other plants. Even while rebuilding, supporting his employees, and helping his community recover, John continued to fulfill his responsibilities as President of the CRMCA. He also played a key role in a video highlighting the loss, resilience, and regrowth of the affected areas. Through his storytelling, John helped bring awareness, empathy, and hope to the broader industry and those outside of our traditional line of work.
A Passionate Industry Advocate
A gifted storyteller and enthusiastic ambassador, John has a genuine love for the ready mixed concrete industry and a passion for bringing others into it. He encouraged employee participation, supported association initiatives through sponsorship, and consistently inspired engagement across the membership.
A Term Defined by Growth
Under John’s leadership, the association achieved:
- Record-breaking attendance at events
- Strong committee growth and engagement
- Implementation of the CTAC Program to improve concrete testing
- The successful launch and continued growth of the Emerging Leaders Program
Looking Ahead
While John now transitions into the role of Past President, his impact on the association is lasting. He has been a pleasure to work with, a steady partner to staff and volunteers, and a true advocate for our mission.
