In February, CRMCA proudly hosted the third cohort of the Emerging Leaders in Charlotte, North Carolina, bringing together rising professionals from across the Carolinas for two days of education, connection, and leadership development. The program continues to strengthen industry knowledge while cultivating the next generation of concrete leaders.

The experience began with a comprehensive ready mixed concrete plant tour hosted by Concrete Supply Company. Participants gained firsthand insight into plant operations, quality control procedures, logistics coordination, and safety practices. The tour provided valuable perspective on the production process, from raw materials to dispatch, reinforcing the critical role producers play in delivering consistent, high-quality concrete.

That evening, attendees gathered for a dynamic speed networking event. The format encouraged meaningful, fast-paced conversations, allowing participants to build relationships across companies and disciplines. The energy in the room reflected a shared commitment to collaboration and professional growth within the industry.

Day two shifted focus to leadership development at CRMCA headquarters. Through an interactive leadership styles workshop, participants explored communication approaches, team dynamics, and strategies for leading with confidence and authenticity. The session challenged attendees to better understand their strengths while recognizing the value of diverse leadership styles in building high-performing teams.

The third cohort experience reinforced CRMCA’s commitment to investing in people, equipping participants with technical knowledge, expanded networks, and practical leadership tools that will benefit both their organizations and the concrete industry as a whole. We look forward to the second experience in Charleston, SC slated for May!
