My name is Kaitlyn Stevenson, and I am currently serving as an intern with the Carolina Ready Mix Concrete Association (CRMCA). I am a senior at Clemson University majoring in Business Management, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and a focused interest in nonprofit leadership and marketing. As I prepare for graduation, I am eager to pursue a career within the construction industry and view this internship with CRMCA as an exciting opportunity to broaden my experience and industry knowledge.

During the past academic year, I completed two major consulting projects through Clemson University, working with Launchpad Tri-County, a startup incubator, and Myrtle Beach Tours, a family-owned business. Through these experiences, I gained hands-on exposure to feasibility studies, survey development, focus groups, and strategic problem-solving. My work included evaluating market reach, identifying growth opportunities, and proposing actionable solutions to improve outreach and long-term sustainability. These projects also strengthened my skills in website creation and editing, work that was ultimately recognized with awards.

In my role as an intern at CRMCA, I will support the organization’s 2026 Strategic Initiatives by assisting with member engagement and outreach efforts across the architecture, engineering, construction, and ownership communities. My work will focus on high-impact AEC engagement, CTAC program support, targeted demand generation, and strategic research with allied partners, all aimed at increasing participation, visibility, and measurable outcomes for CRMCA and its members.

I am especially excited to deepen my understanding of the construction industry—an industry I have grown up around—while building meaningful professional connections. I have greatly enjoyed my experience with CRMCA thus far and look forward to learning, contributing, and growing throughout the remainder of my internship.
