CRMCA recently welcomed industry professionals to North Myrtle Beach for a successful Concrete Learning Forum followed by the inaugural Emerging Leaders Alumni Summit, combining technical education, industry collaboration, and leadership development.

The three-hour Concrete Learning Forum, presented in partnership with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA), highlighted innovative concrete solutions shaping the future of resilient construction. Attendees explored the value of Build With Strength with Michael Wymant, gained insight into concrete pavement solutions through Pave Ahead with Phil Kresge, and learned about high-performance Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) applications from Chad White of Nudura. Together, the sessions emphasized performance-based design, resilience, durability, and the importance of integrated project delivery across the construction industry.

The evening concluded with a professional networking reception and dinner, providing attendees the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and exchange ideas with colleagues from across the Carolinas.

The following day, graduates from CRMCA’s first two Emerging Leaders Program cohorts gathered for the association’s inaugural Alumni Summit. The half-day leadership program was led by Dr. Clemson Turregano of the Center for Innovative Leadership at Furman University, who guided participants through engaging discussions on identifying personal and organizational values while effectively managing change and transition. Through interactive exercises and peer collaboration, alumni strengthened the leadership skills needed to navigate today’s evolving business environment and inspire positive change within their organizations.

Together, these events reflected CRMCA’s ongoing commitment to advancing technical excellence, cultivating the next generation of industry leaders, and strengthening partnerships that will shape the future of the ready mixed concrete industry throughout the Carolinas.
