What started as a rainy morning quickly turned into a perfect day for shooting at Rocky Creek Sporting Clays in Richburg, SC, as CRMCA hosted its annual Sporting Clays Tournament. The rain cleared just in time for the safety briefing, setting the stage for an exciting day of camaraderie and competition.

Nineteen teams from across North and South Carolina came together for this much-anticipated event, bringing with them a strong spirit of sportsmanship and industry connection. The 13-station, 100-target course offered a fun and challenging experience for shooters of all levels, with each station presenting a unique test of skill and focus.

Despite the soggy start, teams hit the course ready to go—and the friendly rivalries didn’t disappoint. From first-timers to seasoned sharpshooters, everyone had a blast making their way through the course.

After the final shots were fired, players were welcomed back with a well-earned reward: a delicious BBQ lunch that hit the spot. Conversations and laughter filled the pavilion as attendees enjoyed pulled pork and classic sides while scores were tallied and awards were presented.

Congratulations to Vulcan Materials on being the top team of the day with a score of 374! Also congratulations to Chad Davis of Summit Materials for make a perfect 100 as the Sharp Shooter.

Thank you to all of our participants, sponsors, and partners who helped make this event a success. The Sporting Clays Tournament continues to be one of CRMCA’s most popular gatherings—and it’s easy to see why.
