General Information


The Carolinas Ready Mixed Concrete Association is a nonprofit organization established in 1951 by large and small ready mixed concrete producers and associated members who supply materials, equipment and services to our industry in North and South Carolina.

CRMCA MISSION To provide expertise and services to members, which will better enable them to meet their concrete goals and to promote and perpetuate ready mixed concrete as the preferred building material.


The purpose of the CRMCA is to accomplish the following:

  • To present a single voice before state and federal governments that regulate our industry.
  • To provide a clearing house through which members may coordinate their efforts in solving common problems.
  • To sponsor educational programs, seminars and workshops to promote the latest advances in concrete technology and to address other issues of interest to the industry.
  • To promote the highest standards of business practices among its members, and to provide service to the industry that is better performed by a group rather than an individual or individual company.
  • To promote the increased use and applications of ready mixed concrete and to advance into new markets.
  • To promote and enhance cooperation between the suppliers and the providers of ready mixed concrete, which will benefit the industry and consumers.

WHAT CRMCA DOES FOR YOU:

1. Promotes the increased use of quality ready mixed concrete as a superior material for all construction applications throughout the Carolinas.

2. Promotes improved workmanship in concrete placement and finishing.

3. Promotes cooperation between producers and suppliers that benefits the industry and its consumers.

4. Gives associate members an opportunity to meet and talk to producer members in marketing and selling their products.

5. Furnishes design and other technical information to owners, architects, and engineers to assist them in incorporating concrete in their plans.

6. Employs a professional engineer on staff who is available to assist members with the promotion of specific projects.

7. Promotes political advocacy by working with the legislature and other government agencies, on matters affecting the ready mixed concrete industry.

8. Notifies members of new governmental rules, regulations and policies that may affect their business.

9. Has an active Safety & HR Committee that meets on a regular basis.

10. Provides weekly Drivers Safety Notes and Supervisor Safety Topics to members for employee safety meetings.

11. Has an active Environmental Committee that meets annually with NCDENR and SCDHEC to discuss the latest environmental issues.

12. Employs a lobbyist in North Carolina.

13. Monitors new legislative bills. Introduces and supports bills in the legislature that are beneficial to the ready mixed concrete industry when applicable.

14. Publishes a quarterly newsletter keeping members advised of the latest industry information. Advertising is available only to CRMCA members.

15. Publishes a weekly e-newsletter providing members with industry events and upcoming training classes.

16. Publishes a "Membership Directory and Buyer’s Guide" offering information on producer and associate members.

17. Holds an annual convention and an annual workshop where members have an opportunity to learn the latest innovations within the industry and discuss items of mutual interest.

18. Maintains a working relationship with various associated trade associations in order to receive and forward to our membership all the latest news and information regarding the ready mixed concrete industry.

19. Holds nine monthly Concrete Education Council (CEC) meetings across the Carolinas.

20. Holds educational seminars and training sessions throughout the Carolinas.

21. Offers the opportunity to meet others in your trade and to enjoy their friendship and respect.

22. Gives you the opportunity to help shoulder your share of the load in fighting the common battles of your industry.
