CRMCA 3rd Annual Mixer Driver Championship

The 3rd Annual CRMCA Mixer Driver Championship is scheduled for April 23-24, 2010. Registration Deadline Extended. The Competition is sponsored by the Carolinas Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s Fleet Maintenance Committee. The contest format and rules are the same as that used at the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s National Mixer Driver Championship.
This year’s event location has not yet been determined but will be in Charlotte or the immediate Charlotte area.
The competition was developed to recognize those individuals with exceptional ability that deliver the world’s most versatile building product. Print/download the flyer (including registration info.) here:

NRMCA Level 2 Concrete Technologist Certification Program

The NRMCA Concrete Technologist Level 2 is based on the popular NRMCA Technical Short Course. The program has been modularized to be conducted at a regional level by interested sponsoring groups and companies. Course content includes fundamentals of concrete and its ingredient materials, ACI and ASTM standards and basic principles for concrete, aggregates tests, and calculations leading to mixture proportioning and batch adjustments. One year experience in the concrete industry is recommended but not required.
